In restorative yoga, poses are passively held for a number of minutes as the body is met with support from carefully placed props and from the earth itself. External stimulation is minimised and movement is kept to the bare essential. Once the body is relaxed we invite the mind to enter the state of relaxed awareness that is Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation translated as Yogic Sleep. It is a state between wakefulness and deep sleep which can aid relaxation, reduce stress and improve health and well being.

Yoga Nidra is a state between sleep and wakefulness, through guided meditation we can spend time in this space and access the deep relaxation, and creative potential it offers us. No experience is necessary to attend these sessions and if you do have an existing Yoga Nidra practice we encourage you to bring a guest along to introduce this beautiful gift into their lives.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Wear clothes that are comfortable to lie down in, bring your own yoga mat, eye pillow/mask and anything else that makes you particularly comfortable. Other required props will be provided.
